Camden Travel Guide
Welcome to Camden, ME!
Camden is part of what is known as The Jewel of the Maine Coast, along with Rockport and Lincolnville, and the place where the mountains meet the sea. A myriad of harbors dot this area of South Coast Maine, offering visitors a chance to fish, sail or sightsee Maine from the water. For an after dinner activity, the Camden Opera House has been entertaining New Englanders for over 150 years. Camden also boasts its own ski area, the Camden Snow Bowl, which provides 10 downhill trails as well as a 400-foot (122 m) long toboggan chute. Visit the Warren Island State Park to camp or sail and enjoy the diverse wildlife and the lush gardens at Merryspring Park. Boating opportunities are abundant at Camden, as visitors can take in organized cruises and witness islands and diverse sea life, such as gulls, ospreys and seals. For arts, the Bayview Gallery includes contemporary, impressionist and realist artwork of New England's fine artists.
